Beri is a town, Village, and a Municipal committee in the Jhajjar district in northern Indian state of Haryana. The City is located 60 kilometres (37 mi) northwest of Delhi and is a trading center. Beri is one of the largest tehsils of Haryana State including 77 villages. Beri City is situated on Road Connecting Gurgaon to Hisar and Kosli(Rewari) to Rohtak. This is the mid of These four Cities. The First Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhagwat Dayal Sharma, was from Beri village. The Town has a World's Famous temple dedicated to the goddess Mata Bhimeshwari Devi and Lord Krishna.The "Beri Pashu Mela" or "Beri Cattle Fair" is celebrated in the days of Navratra every year and is famous for it's donkeys.

As of 2011 India census, Beri had a population of Approx. 30,000. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Beri has an average literacy rate of 70% Higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 57% of the males and 43% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Beri City is the Administrative Headquarters of Beri Sub-division(a Tehsil before 15 August 2009) in Jhajjar district in the state of Haryana, India. Sant Lal Pachar became its first SDM. Presently Sh. Sanjay Rai holds the post of SDM Beri, The City has its own Tehsil Head office, Sub Divisional Courts and Mini Secretariat on Jhajjar-Hisar Highway. Presently H.S. Dahiya holds the post of Tehsildar Beri. Beri has two gausalas on the outskirts Beri City is also famous for Its Khoya Burffis & of Gunga Halwai, Famous Samose of Bhagwan Das Halwai, M Of Naanu Halwai. Beri has its own Police Station on Gurgaon-jhajjar-Bhiwani Road. The Police Station is headed by Sh.Daya Chand(SHO)
History
Beri Town and Sub-Division, which previously fell under District Rohtak, Haryana, is now a part of newly created District Jhajjar from 15 July 1997 onwards. Late Pt. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, MA, LLB of Village Beri retired in 1977 from the position of Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana. He had also previously served as Director Local Bodies, Haryana. During the Chief Ministership of Chaudhary Devi Lal in 1987 he had also served as Chairman of Haryana Land Reclamation and Development Corporation.
Beri is a historical city, in existence from pre-mahabharata period. The famous Bhimeshwari Temple is situated on the outskirts of the town and is connected to many folk tales relating to one of the Pandavas, namely Bheemsen. The temple attracts large crowds from many surrounding villages. Many traders and businessmen of this village have now shifted to Hisar, Bhiwani, Happur(U.P.), Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata and other parts of the country. Beri originally used to host the largest cattle fair of India, which has now shifted to neighbouring Jahazgarh village. Beri has two major gaushalas on the outskirts of the village.(???? ???? 1008 ???????? ??????? ?????? ????, ????-?????? Beri Is called the land of soldiers. General (Retd.) Dalbir Singh Suhag, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, also from Beri (Bishan) had assumed office as the 26th Chief of the Army Staff. Beri has generated many village from it. Like Wazirpur, Baghpur, Bishan etc.They are also known as Beri. Beri has also given the country many swimmers who have competed at the international level.

Beri is situated on Gurgaon-Bhiwani-Hisar-Sirsa Highway with easy road access to Rohtak, Bhiwani, Tosham, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hisar, Sirsa, Palwal, Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Jaipur. The nearest Metro station on the Delhi metro Green Line is located in the Devilal Park in Bahadurgarh 28 kilometres away and Najafgarh metro 45 kilometres away.
